Exploring Adom Waterfalls: A Refreshing Journey with a Quick Stop at Aburi Gardens.
By Klenam. Embarking on a quest to uncover hidden treasures in Ghana's Eastern Region is slowly becoming the theme of my year. Surprisingly, these gems are just an hour's drive from the capital, yet remain undiscovered by many. Our original plan was to visit Adom Waterfall, but we couldn't resist a spontaneous stop at Aburi Gardens – a decision that proved to be rewarding. Boarding an Akropong-bound bus from Madina at a cost of 15 cedis per person, our journey led us to the doorstep of Aburi Gardens, offering stunning vistas along the way. Though the winding roads added a dash of excitement, the lush vegetation and picturesque homes dotted across the hillsides made for a memorable ride. A brief detour to Peduase allowed us to savor locally brewed palm wine priced at 45 cedis per liter and purchase beautifully crafted calabashes at 10 cedis for small and 15 cedis for larger sizes.
